OHPR’s 2025 Bill List: Stay Informed and Take Action!

The 2025 Oklahoma legislative session is in full swing, and Oklahomans for Health and Parental Rights (OHPR) is tracking several key bills that impact health freedom, parental rights, and personal choice.

Below is a breakdown of some of the most important bills we’re supporting, watching, and opposing. We encourage all OHPR members to stay engaged, track these bills on okleg.gov, and take action when needed!

 Senate Bills to Support

• SB 4 (Sen. Thompson) – Prohibiting use of certain substances in food products.

• SB 939 (Sen. Frix) – Expanding the Homemade Food Freedom Act.

  • Action: Call Sen. Murdock (405-521-5626) and ask him to hear these bills in the Senate Agriculture and Wildlife Committee.

• SB 761 (Sen. McIntosh) – Creating the Lori Brand Patient Bill of Rights Act.

• SB 426 (Sen. Jett) – Designating certain drugs as over-the-counter.

• SB 958 (Sen. McIntosh) – Prohibiting healthcare services to minors without parental consent.

• SB 807 (Sen. McIntosh) – Creating the Vaccine Transparency and Informed Consent Act.

  • Action: Call Sen. Rosino (405-521-5618) and ask him to hear these bills in the Senate Health and Human Services Committee.

• SB 430 (Sen. Sacchieri) & SB 1021 (Sen. Jett) – Prohibiting the release of chemicals affecting weather and sunlight.

  • Action: Call Sen. Green (405-521-5547) and ask him to hear these bills in the Senate Energy Committee.

• SB 611 (Sen. Jett) – Creating the Citizen’s Bill of Rights.

  • Action: Call Sen. Howard (405-521-5612) and ask him to hear this bill in the Senate Judiciary Committee.

• SJR 8 (Sen. Deevers) – Constitutional amendment to protect the right to grow and purchase food.

  • Action: Call Sen. Pugh (405-521-5622) and ask him to hear this bill in the Senate Rules Committee.

• SB 561 (Sen. Jett) – Exempting quail breeders from licensure.

• SB 985 (Sen. Thompson) – Creating the Oklahoma Local Food for Schools Program.

 House Bills to Support

• HB 1726 (Rep. Shaw) – Prohibiting land application of biosolids.

  • Action: Call Rep. Nick Archer (405-557-7312) and ask him to hear this bill in the House Energy and Natural Resources Committee.

• HB 1600 (Rep. Gise) – Creating the Lori Brand Patient Bill of Rights Act.

• HB 1079 (Rep. Hildebrant) – Vaccine Transparency and Informed Consent Act.

  • Action: Call Rep. Roe (405-557-7365) and ask her to hear these bills in the Public Health Committee.

• HB 1151 (Rep. Banning) & HB 1410 (Rep. Hasenbeck) – Moving school board elections to general elections.

  • Action: Call Rep. Kevin West (405-557-7343) and ask him to hear these bills in the House Government Oversight Committee.

• HB 1475 (Rep. Adams) – Prohibiting student discrimination based on vaccination status.

• HB 1075 (Rep. Hildebrant) – Strengthening abuse investigations in schools.

  • Action: Call Rep. Dick Lowe (405-557-7401) and ask him to hear these bills in the House Education Committee.

House Bills to Watch

• HB 1937 (Rep. Sterling) – Amending parental oversight of electronic communications between teachers and students.

House Bills to Oppose

• HB 1523 (Rep. Provenzano) – Establishing a school-based telehealth pilot program.
• HB 2254 (Rep. Waldron) – Requiring parents to submit a letter of intent when choosing certain schooling options.
• HB 1755 (Rep. Kerbs) – Adding liability to chemical companies for pesticide warning labels.
